At Landskrona Hospital, we conduct a multifaceted and broad operation that includes outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care. We have internal medicine and surgical departments as well as clinics in surgery, urology, gynecology, medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and dermatology. We also have a laboratory, radiology, and a medical emergency department that receives patients on weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00. At other times, we accept direct admissions from home care, ambulances, and nearby hospitals.

In your role as a medical secretary with us at Landskrona Hospital, you will be part of the healthcare administrative unit. Within the unit, 25 employees work across the emergency department, surgery, urology, internal medicine, and reception.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a position for you who enjoy working with varied tasks and want to have a central role within the healthcare administrative unit. With your outstanding service skills, you will play a significant role in ensuring that our patients and their relatives feel warmly welcomed when they come to us. We have a close collaboration among colleagues, and regardless of professional role, we help and support each other in our daily work.

In the position of medical secretary, you will work with common secretarial tasks such as writing medical records, handling referrals, booking and monitoring, telephone service, issuing statements and certificates, as well as DRG registration. You will also work with digitalization and e-health, and handling 1177 will be an important part of your daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80 credits (KY) / 400 credits (YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Very good computer skills are a prerequisite. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience working as a medical secretary in both inpatient and outpatient care. Experience working with 1177 and a strong interest in digitalization and e-health is also advantageous. If you have experience with Melior, Web-pasis, and Medspeech, this is beneficial. Good knowledge of the English language is also an advantage.

You are service-oriented, see opportunities, are structured, and have a positive attitude. Furthermore, you have the ability to work independently and enjoy varied tasks. You are responsible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. For the assignment, it is also important that you have a holistic view.
